MIRIllumino: Anonymous Light Showcase at MIR26 to Test and Vote Lighting Live

A new immersive format debuts at MIR 2026.

A new immersive format debuts at MIR 2026. On Monday, April 13, MIR26 will host MIRIllumino — a new format designed to put lighting technologies to the test in a direct, unfiltered way. No spec sheets, no sales presentations. Just light, switched on, performing in real conditions.

The showcase will take place in Hall A6, within LD@Work, and will be curated by lighting designers Giovanni Pinna and Marco Zucchinali.

How does MIR Illumino work?

• Enter the showcase and experience a sequence of lighting tests in a real environment
• Products are active but hidden, with no indication of brand or model
• Observe performance: intensity, color, uniformity, and behavior on stage
• For each test, you can cast your vote in real time
• The system collects audience feedback and builds a live ranking.

At the end of the showcase, results are revealed — and only then do you discover which products you experienced
